For five years, the Sina Khani Awards have honored the bold and the original. No critics, no submissions, no democracy. Just pure recognition from Sina himself. The ceremony will be held at The Unsafe House during the film premiere of Scorched Earth, Wenckebachweg 49F, Amsterdam, on December 12, 2025, from 19:00. Free entry, dress code: WOKE MAXXXING.

Selection Criteria:

"I nominate people whose work has made me pause, rethink, and feel that the world could be a tiny lille bit nasty."

The Sina Khani Life Achievment Award

Recipient: Afke Boezewinkel

This is the only award that stands outside the competition, and its recipient is already chosen. We honor an individual whose enduring commitment, integrity and presence have left a lasting mark on Sina.

Selection criteria:

"Afke Boezewinkel is a pastor at the Protestantse Gemeente Brummen, leading precisely the kind of church I cherish, one that feels like a spectacle in the best sense of the word. Her services are charged with performative power and attention-grabbing moments. She possesses a deep yearning for meaning and manages to keep her community vibrant, curious, and connected. In that sense, I very much look up to her. Afke has brought donkeys into ceremonies and is planning to integrate pole dancers into future services, pushing boundaries with playful boldness. Most recently, she asked me to play one of the three holy kings on a camel during a Christmas event. Soon, Afke Boezewinkel will retire, and I believe that is the perfect moment to honor her, modestly yet meaningfully, with the Sina Khani Lifetime Achievement Award 2025."
